The PHD2516 is a gantry moving CNC high-speed drilling and milling machine, mainly used for drilling, shaving, chamfering, grooves inside holes and milling of flanges, heat exchangers, tubeplates, rotary supports and other workpieces. It can be used for internal cold high-speed drilling with hard alloy drill bit or external cold drilling with high speed steel twist drill bit. Drilling depth of 10D (10x diameter) can be achieved with special crown drill bit. The machining process is NC and easy to operate. It can realize automatic, high precision and many kinds of mass production.

III. THE MAIN PROCESSING STEP
1) The material, loading on the worktable and fixed on the worktable.
2) Send the program to the CNC.
3) Start Drilling Milling and Tapping. Operation can be applied from the spindle. It can also drill blind hole if necessary.
4) The machine will change the tools for different diameter or marking if necessary.
The chips can be moved out to the chips box by the chip cleaner
IV MACHINE FEATURES
1. Machine Bed and Worktable
Machine Bed and Worktable are whole steel plate welding, and the stress is removed by two tempering heat treatments. In order to eliminate the resonance during drilling and prolong the service life of the alloy bit, the bed body and the working table are independently adopted. The left and right beds are placed longitudinally, the anchor bolts are solidified through concrete, and the three-layer adjusting pad is leveled and fixed on the foundation of the equipment. The two beds are each equipped with two precision roller linear guide rail pairs, two guide rail pairs are each equipped with a set of precision ball screw pairs, on the guide rail pair is each equipped with a set of high-quality CNC sliding table, one end of the bed is each equipped with a large inertia AC servo motor.
2. Moving Gantry
Moving gantry adopts high quality steel plate welding, after two tempering heat treatment to remove stress. The two left and right legs of the Gantry are installed on the numerical control sliding platform of the two beds. Two sets of AC servo motors with large inertia on the left and right bed body drive two precision ball screw pairs synchronously through precision planetary reducer to drive the numerical control sliding table and the gantry to do longitudinal movement (X1 and X2 axes). Two sets of linear guide guide pairs on the left and right bed body to ensure high positioning accuracy and repeated positioning accuracy.
3. Power Head
Numerical control sliding pillow type power head mounted on two sets of transverse moving slide plate, sliding pillow type drilling power head Y axis movement, using two straight line roller guide guide to ensure high precision work.
The spindle motor of the power head adopts the special servo motor of the spindle to drive the spindle through the synchronous belt. The low speed torque is large, which can not only bear the heavy cutting load, but also be suitable for high-speed machining of carbide tools. Realize the integration of drilling, tapping and milling.
